Ridin' Dirty at the Race!

A couple of weeks ago, Skyler rode in a race. He was very excited, because if you dont already know, he LOVES his dirt bike. His excitement seemed to override the bad logic of ending a five month riding drought with a race. But that didnt stop him from getting back on the horse...or bike, and doing an awesome job!

For those of you that dont know what a "hole shot" is, it is awarded to the fastest rider out of the gate, and around the first corner of the track. And Skyler was the winner! The video below shows my sexy number 6 getting the hole shot. At the begining, everyone had to start with their engine off and their right hand on their helmet. After everybody was ready, the gate operator goes into the little shed where nobody can see him, and randomly dropped the gates.

The race track was 5 miles long. He had a blast!

Fun Weekend in the Snow!

We had such a fun weekend! I cant think of a better way to spend our first Valentines Day together as a MARRIED couple!

We left Thursday evening, down to Skyler's cabin in McCammon, Idaho. We got there around 9 o'clock and unpacked, played games, ate yummy treats, watched a movie, and then went to bed. The next morning (Friday) we woke up and made breakfast. We got all of our snow stuff on and went out to ride the snowmobiles.

About 2 hours later (Skyler had to do a little fixin' on one of the snowmobiles) we were on our way!

We would ride the snowmobiles up on top of reallly big hills, and then sled down. And then ride the snowmobile back up. It was perfect since we didnt want to have to hike all the way up the hill again.

We did that until dark and then went back to the cabin. But not before we made a few snow angels :)

That night we went to Lava Hot Springs. It was so nice to be in the warm hot tubs after a day out in the snow.
The next morning was Valentines Day so we made a delicious breakfast with strawberry and blueberry crepes, and then I started getting ready. I heard Skyler watching TV and went out to see what he was watching. I ran and got the camera because I had to document what I saw (video below). Yep, he was watching Fern Gully! He knew all the songs and everything. He told me he was "reminiscing his childhood". I could just picture him as a little boy, wathcing Fern Gully! What a cute guy!

After he had enough of that, we went back out for more fun in the snow.

Of course Sky stopped to pose for the camera!

We left around 5:30 to go back up to Rexburg but stopped in Idaho Falls for dinner at Brownstone.

Besides a small crash at the bottom of a 4 foot drop off, we had such a fun weekend and wish it could have last a little bit longer!

ALOOOOOOOHA!

We just got back from Hawaii and we are already missing the sandy beach and most of all, the sun! We had such a fun time. I have been to Hawaii befor but it was Skyler's first time. We stayed in a cute house with the most gorgeous view right on Kailua Beach. And it turns out, we were only 8 houses down from where Obama was staying! We ran into the secret service many times and they wouldn't let us go part way down the beach.

The first day after we got there, we went to the Polynesian Cultural Center. It was really funny to see all the Christmas decorations up when it was 83 degrees outside! It rained a lot that day but we still had a good time. Our favorite part was the Luau where we ate roasted pig and drank Pina Coladas!
We went to a few different beaches while we were there. We snorkeled, Boggie Boarded (Skyler loved to boogie board...He was in the water every chance he had!) layed out in the sun, and saw some really pretty sunsets!
While we were at sunset beach we ran into a sea turtle that came to shore. It was so big!
We decided to make a sandman instead of a snowman!
We went on a boat (it was called Kai Oli Oli) that took us out in the middle of the ocean to watch for whales and dolphins. It was so cool! I have never seen a whale so up close! Before the boat took us back to shore, we snorkeled for a little while. I was a little nervous because we were so far away from the shore but it was really fun. We saw some sea turtles that swam right next to us and all different kinds of fish!
We went to Pearl Harbor which was a really neat experience. It was such a reverent place.

On New Years Eve, we went to dinner in Waikiki and then sat on the beach and watched fireworks that the Coast Guard set off on their Boats. It was a really good firework show and we were surrounded by the best scenery!
Matsumoto is a little store/shack that has the best shaved ice EVER! If you are ever on Ouahu we suggest that you stop by to have a taste!

We woke up really early one morning and hiked up to a lighthouse to watch the sunrise. I am not much of a morning person but it was a perfect view and we had a lot of fun! Im glad that Skyler dragged me out of bed to go!

On the last day we were there we went parasailing. I am so afraid of heights so I was really nervous the whole time. Once we got into the air I realized how much fun it was. Me and Sky went tandum so it helped having him there with me.

We had a great time and made a lot of memories. We both love to travel and cant wait until our next adventure!

The Terry's

Lets start from the beginning...Skyler and I met in January 2007 through "mutual friends". We started dating and in April of 2008, we got engaged! We were married in the Salt Lake Temple on July 25th 2008. It was such a perfect (but very hot!!) day.

Throughout our whole engagement, Skyler wouldn't tell me where we were going on our honeymoon. He wanted it to be a surprise! I wanted to know so bad! When we went to the airport (which was at 4:00 am!) we went to the check-in counter. The Lady asked us where we were going and Skyler said JaMaIcA!!! I was so excited! We had So MuCh FuN!!!We stayed in the most beautiful 5 star resort!

We did canopy tours through the jungle, snorkeled, climbed Dunns River Falls, shopped, went cliff diving, and tons more!

When we got back from Jamaica, we moved into our cute little townhouse that we love! Its been great! Skyler is finishing up school at BYU Idaho (he'll be done in April!) and working at Fastenal. He is a very busy boy! I am working full time as a nurse in the Emergency Room here in Rexburg. We have had so much fun together since we have been married. We've been to JaMaIcA, camping, fishing, to DiSnEyLaNd, and we will be leaving to go to HaWaIi on Christmas day!
