We have adjusted quite well to living in Utah. We are finally settled in our apartment in South Jordan, and now...the search for a house begins.
Friends and Family

We have had so much fun hanging out with friends, family, and friends who are practically family. We had a blast with Sky's besties at this AMAZING cabin in Idaho. It is Brady's aunts cabin. We went horse back riding, rode 4-wheelers, ate yummy food, and took long naps! Such a relaxing weekend, just what we needed.

Supercross
We went to the supercross again this year in Salt lake. Last year, it rained a little but stopped by the time the race started. NOT THE CASE this year! It rained, and then it snowed, and then it rained harder. But, we were little troopers and stayed for the entire race. We had a blast.
And for those of you who didnt know, I got a dirtbike for my birthday (which was 6 months ago), but I am finally able to ride it! I took it out on the first voyage last month and Im excited to go on rides with Skyler. And I think he is even more excited than I am :)

Goblin Valley State Park
Last weekend we went camping in Goblin Valley State Park and we had so much fun! We camped for 3 days and hiked Little Wild Horse Canyon.

Changes

Wow what a blog slacker I have been! There have been tons of changes in our lives since February. We are officially Utahns. We moved from Rexburg to...my parents basement in Sandy, Ut. It has really been great! I love hanging out with my family! But that was very short term and we are now waiting to move into our apartment in South Jordan in about 2 weeks. Skyler and I have both started new jobs. Skyler is self employed and he is LOVING it. I am working at Primary Childrens Hospital which I also love. We couldnt feel more blessed! We are loving the warm weather (when we have it), and we have so many fun plans for the summer. We are especially looking foward to a fun weekend at a cabin in Idaho with some of Skyler's best friends from highschool. So fun!

Bittersweet

It has been a very long decision making process and after a lot of thinking, praying, and waiting for answers, we have decided to move to Utah.

Skyler has a great job opportuniy that we are both really excited about. And the timing couldnt be more perfect. I will have my bachelors in Nursing finished by the end of this month, and I will be able to get a job in Utah working as a nurse.

There are so many things we are going to miss about living in Rexburg. And a lot of reasons why this move will be so bittersweet for us.

Who would have thought I would be so sad to leave the frigidness that is Rexburg. Some things we are going to miss....

  • Our family that lives here
  • Our friends
  • Our first home
  • Our great ward and callings
  • All the fun things there are to do in Idaho
  • My job in the ER

But there are so many things to be excited for in Utah....

  • Being closer to some family
  • Being closer to some friends
  • Skylers new job
  • Starting a new adventure!

We hope to be living in Utah by March 1st. Better get packing soon! UUgghhh....I hate packing.

Merry Christmas!

Its hard to believe that last year we were in Hawaii for Christmas! How I would love to be on the beach right now. However, it doesnt feel like Christmas when you spend it in the tropics. But this year, we have really gotten into the Holiday Spirit. We've been to Christmas parties, on sleigh rides, decorated the Christmas tree, so many fun things! It definetly feels like CHRISTMAS! We are so excited to spend Christmas with the Wolfley's this year. Its always a PARTY!
My favorite part about this time of year....It is so nice to reflect back on the birth of our Savior. What an amazing blessing the atonement is. That is the true spirit of Christmas.

"Count Your Many Blessings"

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We are spending Thanksgiving with the Terry family in McCammon this year. Good food, good company, what more can you ask for? I had to work in the ER tonight so we have been doing a little shuffling back and forth from Rexburg, to McCammon. But its been great.
While I have been sitting here at 3 am with NO patients, I have been thinking about how blessed we are. I am thankful for so many things. I wont bore you with all of them, but I love this time of year (Thanksgiving and Christmas). Being surrounded by all the people you love. AMAZING!

Fall 2009

Here are some pictures from our "Fall Photo Shoot". They were done by Amber Lee Photography, she's great. I recommend her to anyone in the Rexburg area. Sorry there are so many pictures, it was really hard for me to choose my favorites :)
